The article linked above talks about something that I have heard of before from time to time: the use of robots as prostitutes as animatronic/ robotics technology is developed. A robot prostitution business/ club is mentioned by the name “Yub-Yum.” I found these words curious, and researched the phrase. It turns out that “Yub-Yum” is the name for one of the various disciplines undertaken in pursuit of eternal bliss/ enlightenment, and specifically, “Yub Yum” is an enlightenment-discipline that emphasizes the use of sex and orgasm. The implications here are highly ironic and telling, because robot prostitution is actually very similar to spiritual enlightenment. This similarity might not seem apparent at first, but robot prostitution is just a more ‘visible’ form of the same type of experience that the spiritual are attempting to achieve (for themselves) with enlightenment-disciplines. Let’s examine and explain the similarities between spiritual enlightenment and robot prostitution:

Enlightenment functions by immersing oneself into one’s own mind, so that, in spite of all the external evidence (war, poverty, inequality, child abuse ect.), one can believe and feel like ‘everything about reality is just fantastic.’ Regardless of any nice-talk about ‘sharing their enlightened love with everyone and saving the world,’ the primary function of the enlightened is to maintain their own bliss and happiness. The Yub-Yum enlightened, in effect, make the equivalent of the following statement: “Soldiers may be killing women and children somewhere, and that’s ashame, but it has no relevance as far as my sex-mediation and sex-bliss is concerned.” Or, to put the statement into a more spiritual vocabulary: “My sex-mediation and sex-bliss is beyond this world.” Here, the phrase ‘beyond this word’ means: ‘more important.’ I.e: “My sex-mediation and sex-bliss is more important than soldiers killing women and children. I refuse to consider stopping my sex-bliss.” That is not a pretty thing to say, but it is done in-fact all the time.

Robot prostitution completes a similar function by providing it’s disciples with a fast and easy escape from reality. With regular prostitution, one is required to ‘get one’s hands dirty’ with the messy tasks of managing, interacting with, and paying the female money-slaves required to pleasure oneself into blissful forgetfulness. The reality of such a task reminds one that the pleasure is temporary, and that the reality of human beings here on Earth is not going anywhere anytime soon. -But with robot prostitutes, one could avoid having to face, see, or consider what consequences sex-addiction will have for other human beings. Robot prostitutes can be programmed to never stop smiling.

Additionally, some will claim that with robot prostitutes, life on Earth will get better because the abusive nature of this system could be directed at robots instead of people, reducing the human-cost of the prostitution industry. Indeed, if sexual deviancy was exerted out onto robots, less people would be harmed, less children molested, and less women infected with STD’s.

But take a look: is it acceptable to have within oneself a child fetish if the sexual act is exerted out onto a robot that only looks like a child, but is not actually one in flesh-and-blood? Look at the kind of mental disease would be allowed within such “freedom of expression.” With robot prostitution, harmful mental disorders would still be allowed to exist. Harm would still be allowed to exist. Harm would just take new forms, but forms that we would not recognize or associate with robot prostitution. We would say that our human genius had removed all harm from sexuality, and that the world is better because now people molest robots.

Just like with enlightenment, we would only be using robot prostitution to ‘cover up’ the internal shit of human beings by removing from our own sight the consequences of ourselves- so that we would not recognize our reflections in reality and could procrastinate realizing the ugly truth about who we are.
