  • The Security of 'Having an Opinion' - Part 2

Fact is, is that we all are stimulated to have an opinion. As without any opinion you'll find that it becomes hard to communicate with one another.  (...read part 1 if you haven't already)
"Look at how pretty that flower is!"
"What an awful pair of shoes..."
    "According to science.."

  • The Security of 'Having an Opinion' - Part 1

We live in a way that stimulate to have an opinion. You might not even notice it, but you have an opinion or an idea about just anything.

Through Opinions we communicate and through Opinions we make 'sense' of our world. Look at people that you have gathered in your inner circle and you'll notice that you share the most opinions with them. And if this is not the case, then you have been together for quite some time where it's likely to say that the both...

  • Gevangen in Woorden?

  • Response: Desteni has GREAT idea's, But it's STILL a CULT!

" I wrote other blog entries about my perspective on Desteni Productions. I stated that I do agree with some of their points, except the anti-masturbation stance. Nobody can mess with masturbation! It's one cause that I will go to the end of the world for. Did you hear that Desteni? Come to masturbation, baby!

Let me state some really good points of Desteni. They are right about Self-responsibility and their concept of Equal Money System actually sounds really great, ...

  • An Investigation of Cognitive Dissonance

    (Source: http://www.instructionaldesign.org/theories/cognitive-dissonance.html)

Just read the source and watch the video's if you are interested.

Cognitive Dissonance is what we have explained over and over within the Desteni Group, Forums, Vlogs and Blogs.

In this theory of Cognitive Dissonance it's said that:
There are three ways to eliminate dissonance: (1) reduce the importance of the dissonant beliefs, (2) add more consonant beliefs that outwe...

  • An experiment of Obedience By Milgram

An experiment of Obedience By Milgram

    (source: http://www.holah.karoo.net/milgramstudy.htm)

The aim of this experiment was: investigate what level of obedience would be shown when participants were told by an authority figure to administer electric shocks to another person.

The result was that more than 50% of the participants obeyed, inflicting heavy shocks to a fictive person.

As this experiment is so versatile I'd like you to read the lin...

An experiment of conformity: By Asch

    (Source: http://www.age-of-the-sage.org/psychology/social/asch_conformity.html)

Let’s turn this experiment into support for ourselves and see where we compromise ourselves.
If you haven’t read the source I will tell you something about this experiment that has been conducted.

There are several people sitting on the table, being asked specific questions about the lengths of lines that had been drawn unto a...
